Kelly's story: What the FUNK?

My name is Kelly. My incredible husband is Josh. We met at a bar in Austin, TX back in July 2017. We went and ate breakfast together at 2 am and the rest is history.

We were engaged by Jan 2018 and married in June.

The day after our wedding we moved to South Korea for my husband's job. We spent two years there before moving back home to Texas in 2020. We have 3 doggos, two of which were adopted from a rescue in Korea.

We love doing home reno, eating all types of food, and visiting a good brewery.

Our two angel babies

Josh and I started trying to conceive in Sept 2019. After 8 months of trying we finally fell pregnant. We were in Korea, about to make our move back home to the US—we were SO excited to share the news.

Three days before we were scheduled to fly home, I went for our first ultrasound at a Korean hospital. The doctor and I couldn’t communicate whatsoever but I understood him when he told me there was no heartbeat. We should’ve been 8 weeks and were measuring at 6. I pushed my flight, came back in a week and still nothing.

We flew home awaiting a miscarriage. This broke me.

But after I finally miscarried, we kept trying. 6 months go by. Nothing. I started seeing a fertility doctor. 10 months go by. Nothing. I switch doctors and clinics, fall pregnant RIGHT before we were supposed to have our first IUI. Unfortunately, I miscarried again, this time at only about 6 weeks.

Both my husband and I are both “normal” with completely normal labs and fertility tests.

Preparing for our first IUI

Currently just started my first cycle after my second miscarriage. This cycle my doctor will be doing an HSG to assure both tubes are open and then we will be doing our first IUI! Very excited.
